在人世與天界之間，有一隅之地，連通著世界五路八方。女主角棲居於此，她爬梳台灣各地本土神靈的起源故事，並前往相關所在進行探索。這些場所和她的身世背景，似乎有著難以言明的羈絆。在不同界域穿梭的歷程中，她發現每當一個地方遭逢災厄，總是伴隨著某位神秘男子的身影。
導演方佳琳蹲點台灣道教社群進行田野調查，探詢各地陰廟的起源故事和相關奇異事件，電影透過超現實主義的敘事框架，指陳地方上的權力關係與族群記憶。
A woman resides in a small realm between earth and the heavens. From there she accesses locations relevant to the origin stories of local Taiwanese gods—she may have deeper ties to some of these places than is apparent at first. As the main character moves between realms, a man seems to show up wherever there is trouble.
In a surrealist narrative framework, Emery explores the origin stories of yin temples and other happenings in the local taiwanese taoist community, and the concept of locational power & memory.
